Advertising Revenue

One of the main ways you can monetize your blog is by joining advertising networks. Google AdSense, Media Vine, and AdThrive are platforms that you can reach out to.

Usually they will require a certain amount of visitors per month for them to work with you. In order to track the number of visitors, you will need to have a plugin that does the tracking. Google Analytics and JetPack are a way to track your visitors.

Another way to get advertising revenue is to directly reach out to companies. Companies are the ones paying networks to get their products and services advertised. You can reach out to a company in your niche and get an exclusive deal to put a banner on your website. This is a little bit more work, but it can lead to higher profits.

EBooks

You can create an EBook. This is a digital asset that you can give to people. This can be given for free as a way to get emails.

EBooks can be sold as well. It can be directly as a pdf or self-published on Amazon kindle. It’s a good way to refer people to buy our book if you want it on a platform.

If you have a lot of traffic and you have a book for sale $20-$50. It can be a good way to monetize some of your traffic.

Online Courses

An online course is a way to earn money. Your course can be a great way to brand yourself and sell other products and services.

Deciding on a price is important. You will need to decide if it’s in the lower price range, mid price range, and high price range.

Lower Price Ranges: $47 and $97

At these price ranges, you can sell directly on your blog. Once you get enough viewers, you will get people to start buying your course. This can be a great option if you have something to sell afterwards. This can be a service, software, or consulting.

Mid Level Price Ranges: $297 and $497

This price range is a great option for bloggers. It still requires a lot of traffic, but it’s still a very affordable option.

You can provide products and services within this course. If you have a very niche market, you can charge higher amounts. As you get to more general content, you will need to make it less expensive.

Higher Mid-Level Price Range: $997 and $1997

At this price range, you need to be able to be niche. It will help to have a webinar of some sort. Usually, it will help if you offer something else with it.

This price range is still a good spot to build an audience that loves your product. You only need a couple sales from this method to make it worth your while.

Higher Price Range: $5000+

At this price range, you will need to be in a niche and offer some kind of support. You are joining an exclusive group. You will get monthly calls for accountability.

Your online course will go over the basics and the set up. You will need to increase the value of your offer to get this. It’ll also require some more follow up and telephone calls.

Physical Products

Physical products can be a product that you sell one time. It should be specific to your niche. This can be all the different things that someone might need.

One of the benefits is that it can be a consumable. If it’s consumable, they will need to buy more of the same product.

An example of this is in the food and drink industry. Beef Jerky can be a protein that you use for the food, health, and fitness industry. This means you can keep selling your product over and over again to your audience.

Membership

Memberships can be monetized in different ways. There are a few ways to go about this.

One is to make a payments with a monthly membership. These are harder to sell than a one time payment for a course.

You can also charge annually for the membership. This can be in combination with a course or offer an exclusive membership for buying into a program.

The other way is to create a free membership. The point of this membership is to help Do-It-Yourselfers and people that are interested in the topic. You can warm them up in a group that you control and help sell products and services.

Consulting

Consulting is a great service as people are figuring out what to do. It can be a way to give advice and be an even bigger trusted source.

You can offer this right on the pages or combined with some other offer.

Software

Software can be sold one time or for a monthly service. The benefit is that most people consider software to be very valuable. I highly recommend that you do a monthly service.

If you aren’t a programmer, you can always outsource this work. This can be a great way to expand your business.

Don’t worry about not having your own software. You can always just recommend other software and get a commission for it. There are a lot of options that will give you a monthly commission.

Done For You Services

Services can be on a recurring basis or a one time event. You can charge your services accordingly to what the market dictates.

Generally, you should focus on using your blog to be helpful to people. This can be a great way to educate the public and offer a great service.

Affiliate Marketing

One of the benefits of blogging is that you can always sell the products and services of other people. There are a lot of people that are willing to give you a commission for directing people to their product or service.
